Plan of one of the huts on the German POW camp (Type 1D/2B/W) prior to being converted into a residential dwelling. The hut had functioned as a latrine and washroom.

As early as 1947, prior to the repatriation of the last German soldiers from the POW Camp at Lydiard Park, Swindon Corporation were making plans to convert the camp into temporary homes for local people.

In 1950, this hut was transformed into no. 90 Lydiard Park and for ten years was the home of Roland and Gertrude Gough and their young son Geoff.
