Cornelius Bradford made his will on 27 May 1780, probate was granted the following December, suggesting Cornelius died shortly after he made his will.

There is no mention of his wife, who presumably pre-deceased him, but he does name five sons and two daughters. His daughter Susanna had married, but Anne is shown as being a spinster in the grant of probate.

From the will we know that his son Charles was apprenticed to two linen drapers in Shrewsbury, and was under the age of twenty-one in 1780.
