Photographs taken at a Friends of Lydiard Park press event to mark the return of a silver rose bowl to Lydiard House following restoration by Deacon & Sons (Ltd) of Swindon on the 7th March 2024.

The first photograph shows a recreation of an original Daily Sketch photograph of the presentation of the rose bowl by representatives of Lydiard estate tenants to Lord Bolingbroke on his coming of age on 15th March 1917. Museum's Manager, Frances Yeo is pictured receiving the rose bowl from Richard Deacon, great grandson of Mildred Deacon from whom the bowl was originally purchased.
