This article comes from a talk given by Maurice Rathbone in 1973 to the Friends of Lydiard Tregoze.

As county and diocesan archivist he was well placed to discuss the records which were held relating to Lydiard. The appendix to the article lists the records held.

Since the article was written the records moved from Trowbridge County Record Office to the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham.
