The East window of St. Mary's Lydiard Tregoze was vandalised in 1997 and partially boarded up prior to conservation.

The fundraising campaign for the conservation was lead by President of the Friends of Lydiard Tregoz, Gerard Leighton, and described in his article The East Window of Lydiard Tregoze (Report no 35).

Shown here are the before and after photographs of conservation to the central light in the window which shows an olive tree, heraldic shields related to the St. John family and a rural scene.

The conservation work was overseen by Dr Sebastian Strobl of Cathedral Studios at Canterbury alongside conservator Leonie Seliger.
