One of a pair of bosses, believed to be depicting Margaret Beauchamp and her husband Oliver St.John. Carved wooden bosses can be seen throughout the nave ceiling but these are distinguished by their more prominent position on either side of the Chancel Arch, the fact that the pair gaze at each other rather than look down on the congregation, and that they were the only ones to have been painted.

In 2020 conservator Eddie Sinclair BA, ACR, repainted the two bosses using contemporary pigments and style.
