Items discovered in the Walled Garden at Lydiard Park include animal teeth, most probably from a pig, A pig burial was discovered in the Walled Garden by archaeologist Bernard Philips in 2001 and subsequently during archaeological excavations by Wessex Archaeology in 2004.

Other items discovered in the garden include glass, ceramic and earthenware sherds
