References to significant articles in the Georgian Group Journal (2004); firstly by Carole Fry who discovered payment records at Hoare's Bank; and secondly by Richard Hewlings. Both identify Roger Morris as architect and Nathanial Ireson as the master builder responsible for the remodelling of Lydiard House.

Brian Carne provides background context and contemporary correspondence to support there findings, though leaves the question open as to whether two or four classical facades were originally intended.
