William made his will 18 January 1657/8, dying a little over a year later, he was buried at Lydiard Tregoze on 10 May 1659. His widow, Anne died in August 1661, but it was not until June 1662 that his executor had the will proved.


Memorials to the Yorke family can be found in the nave aisle of St Mary's church, Lydiard Tregoze.
