Team of needlewomen from the Upper Thames National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Society, embarking on their project to create wool tapestry window seat cushions for the State Rooms of Lydiard House, September 2000.

The beautiful seat cushions were inspired by decorative items in the house and the St.John Coat of Arms. The window seats themselves are not original to the house but were installed to disguise heating apparatus.

Members of Upper Thames NADFAS volunteered in various capacities at Lydiard House including embroidery, transcribing historic monuments and fundraising.
