As part of the community archaeology programme led by Wessex Archaeology at Lydiard Park in 2004 Phil Harding, from the popular TV programme Time Team, came to lend support. For several days he led excavations of a mysterious structure which was thought to be a lost boat house but as excavations progressed, turned out to be a much more unusual structure - a plunge pool.
