A stipple engraving by Sylvester Harding of Henry Bolingbroke's second wife Marie Claire, widow of the Marquis de Villette.

The inscription records that the engraving was published on 11th April 1795 by E & S Harding of Pal Mall after a miniature picture painted by Lady Malden after an original in the collection of Lady Bolingbroke.

The National Portrait Gallery holds a copy of this engraving in its collection -NPG D14127. The gallery's website records that the engraving was after a portrait by Sarah Capell-Coningsby, ne Bazett, Countess of Essex. )

An oil portrait of Marie Clare, part of the St.John family portrait collection, hangs in the Drawing Room in Lydiard House.
