Windmill Leaze Farm, belonging to Viscount Bolingbroke, was tenanted by the Kinchin family from 1823 to 1895+. Members of the family can be seen in the first and slightly earlier photograph.

The farm is located opposite the entrance to Lydiard Park on Hook Street and was originally known as Park Farm. It is thought that the name of Windmill Leaze Farm was adopted in the late 19th cenetury when a windmill was constructed on the farm. It reverted to its former name of Park Farm in 1940.
