The tablet commemorates Anne Pleydell, wife of Edmond Pleydell of Midgehall (Midghall), who died on 4th June 1723 aged 59 years and was buried at St. Mary's.

Recorded are details of her ancestry and her status as an heiress and her eleven children, of whom six survived her. Names and burial places of the deceased children are provided.

Near this Place by her own express, Commands, lyeth the Body of, Ann Pleydell Wife of Edmund Pleydell, Esqr. Of Midghall in this Parish, who was, Daughter and Sole Heiress of Sr. John, Morton Bart., Late of Milbourn St. Andrews, in the County of Dorset, by his Wife Edith, Daughter of John Fowntain Esqr., Serjt. At Law, She departed this Life, on the 4th. Day of June. 1723., and in the 59th. Year of her Age., She had Issue Eleven Children, Six of which Surviv’d her (Vid.), Edmund by whom this Monument, was Erected., Nevil, Thomas, Henrietta, Arethusa and Cornelia, John the Eldest Son Dyed the 11th. Of Febry., 1705, in the 24th. Year of his Age., and was Buryed at Milbourn, Henry, Robert, Edmund, and Deborah, Dyed Young and were Buryed in the Church.
