An article by archaeologist Philip Rowbotham, in which he presents evidence for the existence of a Roman road running through Lydiard Park, part of a 'street' that existed between the western outskirts of Swindon and Hook, Lydiard Tregoze.

Archaeological evidence of the road within Lydiard Park was detected using Google maps and a geophysical survey by Archeoscan of Gloucester in April 2014
