The British War Medal (silver) and The Victory Medal (bronze) awarded to Private Ernest James Titcombe, in their original cardboard box.

Ernest Titcombe of Lydiard Tregoze volunteered to serve in the Wiltshire Regiment in 1916. He fought at both the Somme and Ypres and at one stage was repatriated to the Rhonda Valley following a gas attack. Ernest survived the war and his name name is recorded in the St. Mary the Virgin Memorial Book in St. Mary's Church Lydiard Tregoze.
