Peals and Chimes: The bells of St. Mary’s Lydiard Tregoze by Sarah Finch-Crisp

Illustrated article written for the Friends of Lydiard Park Winter Newsletter 2020 by Sarah Finch-Crisp. The article describes the bells and their restoration in 1964 as well as some intriguing stories from World War II.

Correction

Following more recent consultation (2023) with staff from the museum dedicated to the 101st Airborne Division at Littlecote House in Berkshire, it is no longer thought likely that the hospital was created specifically for the 101st Division, though members of the division most probably did use it.
