Letter from Lady Johanna St.John, writing from her home at Battersea Manor to Thomas Hardyman, her Steward at Lydiard Park, March 1661.

The letter is mostly concerned with gardening and produce with instructions for Hardyman to plant woodbine, to fatten turkeys for sending to Battersea along with other items including herbs, cheese and pickled barberries. Lady Johanna wishes to be remembered to several people at Lydiard including Mr and Mrs Kibbllewight.
