Portrait of John 2nd Viscount St.John (1702-1748) in coronation robes. John, or Jack as he was known, is best remembered for the remodelling of the old manor house at Lydiard Tregoze into the Palladian mansion we know today. He achieved this thanks to his wealthy wife, Anne Furnese.

The full length portrait makes a pair with that of his wife Anne, both in grey frames.

Medium - oil on canvas
