GERMAN WHO WAS AN ENGLISH HERO - Bravery and luck shine in wartime tale

An article by local historian Frances Bevan telling the extraordinary story of German born John Bailey who suffered interment in German POW camps during World War II but eventually joined The Royal Pioneer Corps. working as an interpreter. He was posted to POW Camp 160 Lydiard Park in 1946.
