Olga Fry traces the history of Creeches Farm from the 17th century when it was part of the Meux estate in Lydiard Tregoze to its purchase by Lady Bolingbroke in 1906 and ruinous state in 2003.

The article includes detailed information on the principal tenants of the farm, the Philmore and Hale families, along with references in relation to them in the diaries of Elliott Woolford of Hook Fam.
