This report was produced by Wessex Archaeology following their investigation into key areas of Lydiard Park to inform The Lydiard Park Restoration Project, a £5.3m programme which saw the restoration of the historic landscape (2005-7).

Areas of investigation included the walled garden; the outer walled garden; drives avenues and walks; park pale and ha-ha; garden earthworks and structures; the lakes; dam wall; and northern carpark.

Wessex Archaeology simultaneously ran a brilliant community engagement programme, involving over one thousand local people, including school children, in hands on archaeology, walks and talks.
